Bruce Klaiss, known in many circles of the Net as Harper Blue, is the Owner/Editor of Bama Bloggers. Coming originally from the Battle Creek, Michigan area, he has resided in Alabama since 1996, and in West Blocton since 2004. Trained as a librarian, and self-trained in Web design, Bruce creates sites for small businesses and does research for clients on a private consultation basis through his own small business, Harper Information Services. He is married to Kitt Klaiss, an osteopathic family practice physician in West Blocton; together, they have two children.
Bruce began his blogging "career" in November 2004, following the general election, opening up Harper's Mews on Blogger/Blogspot. He followed this with The Olde English D, dedicated to baseball and the Detroit Tigers, but found the pressure of writing for two blogs too much to keep up to his level of desired quality. He has now moved to New Harper's Mews in his own Webspace, running on WordPress with various plugins.
